Background:
Product development funded by promoters and revenue from non-product related business until ready for market entry.


Issue:
Need for a Business Plan to develop a coherent picture of the business that makes sense and provides a reasonable road map for the future. The completed plan would also be used to generate seed capital investment.

 

Scope of Involvement:

  1. Work with promoters to produce a comprehensive plan to include: product, technology, services, pricing model, target customers, detailed marketing and sales plan, route to market, internal operations, management team and financial projections.
  2. Communicate effectively the specific goals, timelines, key milestones and vision for product development. Identify funding gaps in detail and support negotiations with potential investors and related due diligence.

 

Outcomes:

  1. Business Plan critiqued and reviewed in detail with management. 
  2. Business Plan supported funding rounds and the generation of +€400k funding from various angel investors.
  3. Funding supported further product development based on customer feedback in marketplace.
  4. Company still trading but product sales are behind plan (impact of recession and alignment of product in the current economic environment).  
  5. Product refocused on measurement of results of improvement projects/initiatives and sales for the first quarter will exceed previous year’s actual activity.
  6. Company has successfully secured venture capital funding.
